[Description] November and early December are the cloudiest months of the year in the Northeast. After the vibrant colors of autumn are raked into piles that line suburban streets, the atmospheric light goes flat and the color runs from the landscape.

December is a time for night photography, especially since the temperature has not really dipped below freezing this season. Night photography is an equalizer. Long exposures and electric light create colors not possible on a flat winter's day.
